NBC confirmed that the fire is electrical in nature. No evacuations have been ordered, and there have been no injuries reported. President Donald Trump is at the White House, not his New York City residence.
According to the New York Daily News, firefighters were called to the Fifth Ave. skyscraper , located at East 56th St., at about 7:20 Monday morning.
The blaze appeared to break out in the building’s heating and cooling system, the FDNY said. Investigators are still looking into what might've caused the blaze.
